A Winter Storm Warning is now in effect for much of North Carolina today, February 18, 2025. Heavy snowfall of 3 to 6 inches is expected in central and western areas, including Raleigh, Greensboro, and Asheville, with localized higher amounts possible. Freezing rain and sleet may create hazardous road conditions, leading to travel disruptions and possible power outages.
