Idalia is now a Category 4 hurricane with winds of 130 mph. Idalia is forecasted to deliver flash flooding, with considerable impacts, through eastern North Carolina beginning today, continuing into Thursday. Additional impacts such as isolated tornadoes, power outages and high winds are also possible throughout the day.
