A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for all of north Georgia and portions of central Georgia as of this morning, January 10, 2025. Total snow and sleet accumulations of 2-3 inches are expected in northern Georgia, with up to 1 inch in metro Atlanta and surrounding areas. Road conditions are already hazardous in some areas, with ice and snow impacting travel. It is strongly advised to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary. Those who must commute should be prepared for rapidly changing and dangerous road conditions. Before traveling, check for road closures using the 511GA Road Closure Map.
