Ohio: Inclement Weather & Flooding – April 5, 2025

Severe thunderstorms are expected across Ohio beginning this afternoon, Saturday, April 5, 2025, and continuing through Sunday, April 6. Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms, with heavy rainfall and mixed chances of severity, are expected. The worst flash flooding threat is anticipated from Saturday  to Sunday. Please stay weather-aware and take necessary precautions.

Indiana: Inclement Weather & Flooding – April 5, 2025

​As of April 5, 2025, Indiana continues to experience severe weather conditions, including heavy rainfall and flooding. The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for for portions of central, south-central, southwest, and west-central Indiana, effective until 11:00 PM EDT tonight. Residents should anticipate flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying areas. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding, and additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area.

Kentucky: Inclement Weather & Flooding – April 5, 2025

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch in Kentucky, continuing today, April 5, 2025, through Sunday, April 6, for several counties in Kentucky due to excessive rainfall and flooding. Pendleton, Butler and Falmouth counties placed under mandatory evacuation.  In western and central Kentucky, with forecasts predicting up to 15 inches of rain in some areas. In central Kentucky, areas including Owensboro, Bowling Green, and Elizabethtown are also facing days of heavy rain, strong winds, and a chance for tornadoes, flooding, and hail. Please stay weather-aware and take necessary precautions.

South Carolina: Wildfires Near Myrtle Beach, SC – March 2, 2025

The Governor of South Carolina has declared a state of emergency today, March 2, 2025, to support  ongoing response to wildfires burning across the State near Myrtle Beach. According to the State Fire Marshal, there are ongoing response operations to more than 175 wildfires, impacting 4,200 acres across the state, including Horry, Spartanburg, Oconee, Union, and Pickens Counties primarily due to dry, windy conditions. This order enhances ongoing emergency response efforts as firefighters work to contain the wildfires affecting various regions. In addition, the order states that a ban on any outdoor burning shall remain in effect until further notice.

New York: Snow & Inclement Weather – November 29, 2024

Snow is anticipated to continue this evening in Western New York, November 29, 2024. The inclement weather will affect travel throughout the evening and tomorrow, Saturday, December 30, 2024. Drivers should be prepared for slippery roads, reduced visibility, and hazardous driving conditions. Take precautions and stay safe.
